To fill and color the background of a design, select the text or shape and in the toolbar above your artboard, click the More icon. A new menu will open on the right side of your screen with amazing editing tools. Select Settings, click the Appearance drop down menu, and choose your preferred background color to fill your text or shape. Add a stunning stroke or border to a composition by clicking Stroke from dropdown menu and then selecting your desired color and width of your outline. Ta-Da!
