How to design with pastels

Pastels, also known as “tints”, are pale tones of colors made by mixing a significant amount of white into the original shade. They have a softer tone and are typically described using adjectives like “soft,” “washed out,” “pale,” “muted,” and “light.”

Begin by changing your Brandkit colors to some beautiful pastels. In the lefthand menu go ahead and select Brand Kit and scroll to find your color palette. From there you can delete a color or change the color itself. Technically, you can make any color a pastel by adding white—and the more white you add into the original shade, the paler the pastel will be so you’ll want to stay to the upper left hand side of this color wheel. Once you’ve added pastels to your brand kit you can easily access them on your designs!

And there you go! In just a click you can change your color palette to reflect soft and beautiful pastels. Whether you are known for your Instagram themes, or maybe work in Wedding Planning, pastel colors show up literally everywhere! Photographers, designers, painters, and even bakers are no strangers either to the innocent energy that they bring.
