Marketing workload calculator

How many hours are you losing to content production?

Put in what you publish in a normal week. See what the writing, the design, and the handoffs between tools cost you in hours and in money, and what you would keep by only briefing and approving.

How this is calculated

No hidden multipliers. Every line is your inputs times your minutes, so you can cite the result with its method.

  1. Writing and designing posts. Posts per week, times minutes per post.
  2. Emails. Emails per month divided by 4.33 weeks, times minutes per email.
  3. Adapting for other channels. Posts per week, times channels beyond the first, times minutes per adaptation.
  4. Uploading and scheduling. Assets per week (posts plus weekly emails), times minutes per upload.
  5. Cost. Weekly hours, times 4.33, times what an hour of your time is worth.
  6. If you only briefed and approved. Minutes to brief per week, plus assets per week times minutes to review one.

The defaults describe a typical owner-run marketing week and are there to be changed. The Riley figure is what the week looks like when production is delegated, estimated from your own numbers. It is not a measurement of Riley customers.

Questions about the calculator

What the numbers mean, and what they do not.

Where do the default numbers come from?

They are starting points, not benchmarks. Five posts a week, four emails a month, three channels, and 45 minutes per post describe a typical owner-run marketing week. Every one of them is a slider, so change them to match yours. The result is only as good as your inputs.

Is the "if you only briefed and approved" figure a promise?

No. It is an estimate built from your own inputs: the minutes you set for a weekly brief plus the minutes you set to review each finished asset. It shows what the week looks like when production is delegated. It is not measured data from Riley customers, and your time will vary with how much you change before approving.

What counts as a handoff?

Every time a piece of work moves between tools or steps and you are the one carrying it: pasting copy from a writing tool into a design tool, resizing the design for a second channel, uploading the result to a scheduler, then checking a spreadsheet to see what is next. The calculator counts adapting for extra channels and uploading and scheduling as handoff time.

What does Riley do with a brief?

Riley is the AI marketing agent in Simplified. You describe what you are promoting in plain language. Riley plans the campaign, writes the copy, creates the design and video in your brand kit, and brings the finished set back for your approval. Once you approve, Riley schedules it. Nothing publishes without you.
